Guided tours only; last tour begins at 4:20pm. Parties of 10 or more require advance reservations.

North American Reciprocal Museum (NARM) Association Members

Members from more than 900 NARM institutions, who present a membership card validated with accepted NARM identification, are entitled to the following privileges at Telfair Museums: Free/member admission during regular museum hours, member discounts at museum shops, and discounts on concert/lecture tickets. Guests are not included unless they present a current membership card validated with accepted NARM identification. NARM privileges do not extend to members of other institutions within a 15 mile radius.

 

 

Mobility Access
The Owens-Thomas Museum Store, Slave Quarters/Orientation Gallery, public restrooms, and garden are wheelchair accessible. The House itself is not wheelchair accessible due to the historic nature of the site. Click here for more information on Owens-Thomas House accessibility »

Strollers
Baby strollers are not permitted.

Food and Drink
Food and drinks are not permitted.

Photography
Still photography and video are not permitted inside the Owens-Thomas House or the Slave Quarters/Orientation Gallery. In the garden, still photography and video taken from a handheld device are permitted for personal, noncommercial use. Flash photography, tripods, additional lights and extension cords are not allowed.

Additional Guidelines

  • Please do not touch the furniture or artwork.
  • The use of cellular phones is not permitted.

Telfair Museums Weapons Policy for Guests

For the safety of our guests and employees, Telfair Museums prohibits the possession of weapons of any kind on Telfair Museums’ property, unless such possession or use is a requirement of the job (e.g., law enforcement). Weapons include firearms, explosives, knives, and other objects that in the opinion of Telfair Museums might be dangerous or cause harm. Any person who is in possession of prohibited items may be denied entry or asked to leave the property.
