Membership FAQ

Starting September 1, 2017, in order to reduce our environmental footprint, we will be issuing electronic guest passes for all General and Contributing membership levels. However, we will continue to accept valid physical guest passes at all of our sites!

How do I redeem my electronic, one-time use guest passes?
Please give your name or the primary member’s name to our Front Desk Attendants at any one of our three sites. We will issue your guest a 3-site ticket so that they may visit our other sites within one week. If you will not be accompanying the guest, make sure the guest knows your name or the primary member’s name.

Is there a benefit for renewing on time?
Of course! Two (2) additional guest passes will be issued if renewal payments are received on or before your expiration date.

How can I purchase/renew a membership?
To join/renew at Telfair Museums:
• Visit any one of our three sites to fill out an application
• Join online at www.telfair.org/membership
• Download the membership application form and mail with payment to: Development Office, P.O. Box 10081, Savannah, GA 31412
• Call our Membership Coordinator at 912-790-8807.

How old do I have to be to purchase a membership?
Anyone 13 and up can purchase a membership.

What will be included in my membership packet?
Membership card(s), car decal, and letter of acknowledgement with tax receipt.

When should I receive my membership packet?
Your membership packet should arrive within 5-7 business days, but membership is effective immediately upon joining or renewal! To begin enjoying our fabulous exhibitions and programs, simply give your name to our front desk associate to check in. Your membership packet should arrive shortly!

How long does my membership last?
Members enjoy 12 months of art, history, and architecture at the Museum. For example, if you purchased a membership on July 22, 2016, it will be valid until July 31, 2017.

I renewed my membership one month late. Why is my expiration date still the same?
Our members are given a grace period of 3 months after the set expiration date to renew so your membership benefits are still active during the grace period. If a renewal is processed after the grace period, the expiration date will change to the end of the month you rejoined.

Can I change my secondary member? Order replacement membership card?
Yes, to make member changes we will need the new member’s full name, phone number, and email address. Contact our Membership Coordinator at 917-790-8807 or membership@telfair.org.

There will be a $5.00 fee per card to replace General Level membership cards. Note: You can enjoy the Telfair’s three sites without your membership card. Give your name to our front desk staff and we will check you in!

 

Telfair Museums reserves the right to deny membership applications, and to revoke memberships without refund for membership fees paid, for persons whose conduct Telfair Museums deems in its sole discretion to be disorderly, abusive, in violation of Telfair Museums rules or otherwise inappropriate.
