Think coding is for nerds? Think again! Whenever you text a friend, send a pic on Snapchat, or build cool stuff in Minecraft, code is making it happen. Join ProjectMQ and Codebase for an Hour of Code workshop, where you’ll code a game of your own in just one hour and learn why coding is mega cool.

 

 

Youth Workshop: Mag Lev Racers

Saturday, January 20, 10am–12pm
Ages 7–12

Have fun with STEM by building and decorating your own levitating magnetic race car! Show off your work at the PULSE Free Family Day afterward.

 

 

Adult Workshop: Introduction to Augmented Reality

Instructor: Angela Horne
Angela Horne, Associate Professor of Art in Graphic Design/Digital Art at Armstrong State University will present a talk and short workshop about augmented reality and ways of incorporating AR into graphics and art.

 

 

Workshop for Educators: Intro to Game Development with Scratch

Sunday, January 21, 2–4pm
Instructor: Jonathan Bushnell
No experience necessary! Local educators are invited to learn Scratch an easy to use tool for animation and game creation that does not require learning code to begin creating games.
