These technologies do not contain any personal information about you; they are used to gather information to analyze traffic to the Websites, to improve our content and navigation, to enhance our marketing efforts, to personalize your experience, and to provide online display advertising, and/or offline advertising, tailored to your interests based on your online behavior.

At our discretion, we may make the information about telfair.org’s users available in aggregate form, with no personal identifiers, to help describe and identify our users to our Board members and the public. We do not share any detailed individual member information with other companies.

If you wish to become a member of Telfair Museums, register for an event, or make a donation via our website, we will ask you to provide personal information that is necessary to process and service your request. This may include your name, billing and shipping addresses, telephone number, email address, and credit card number. Your credit card information will be temporarily stored on a secure server and used only for processing your online transaction. We will retain the information you provided for our records, and to facilitate customer service. Your financial details will not be held by Telfair Museums. Similarly, if you wish to purchase other products from us such as a book or a statue, you will be redirected to PayPal to complete your purchase and your financial details will not be held by Telfair Museums. You may also provide us with data when you enter a competition, promotion or survey, attend an event, and when you submit a message via our Contact form.

We process your communication data (name, e-mail address) in order to be able to contact you. Personal data that you provide to us will only be processed for correspondence with you or only for the purpose for which you have made the data available to us. Your personal data is transmitted encrypted. We use the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol. Furthermore, we protect our websites and other systems through technical and organizational measures against loss, destruction, access, modification, or distribution of your data by unauthorized persons. All data you give us is stored on our secure servers. We have the following exceptions to these policies: We will release specific information about you or your account to comply with any valid legal process, such as a search warrant, subpoena, statute, or court order. In addition, we may process your data to fulfill legal obligations (e.g. regulatory requirements, commercial and tax storage and proof obligations). We may also share the names and postal addresses we receive from Members, Patrons, and donors with other organizations for traditional marketing purposes, such as our Members magazine, event reminders, and annual appeal mailers. If you do not want to have your information used in this way, you may send an e-mail message containing your name and postal address to info@telfair.org.

Telfair Museums offers tablets inside the museum that request visitor feedback. These surveys are conducted through a reputable third-party service provider. Your participation in these surveys is on a voluntary basis. We use the survey responses to improve our understanding of you, our visitors, and to determine how best to serve your needs. Information collected in these surveys is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

You can revoke your consent to receive e-mail communication from us and unsubscribe at any time. You can cancel your enrollment by clicking on the link provided in every e-mail, by e-mail to info@telfair.org, or by contacting us via telephone, letter, or fax.
