Day With(out) Art 2022: Being & Belonging

Jepson Center

Being and Belonging will be on looping presentation during museum open hours in the Neises Auditorium at the Jepson Center on Thursday, December 1, 2022. The presentation is open to all and free to visitors with museum tickets or membership passes. Please note that the videos feature mature themes and may not be suitable for young audiences.

Holiday Tree Lighting

We hope you’ll help us kick off the holiday season with Telfair’s annual tree lighting celebration sparking joy and bringing the community under one roof. A hot cocoa bar, homemade cookies, and children’s art activities will take place in the Jepson Center’s Richard and Judy Eckburg Atrium.

Come celebrate the holiday season at this annual favorite event. Enjoy warm beverages, tasty treats, and local music in the garden at the Owens-Thomas House & Slave Quarters. The house will be open for tours, offering a unique evening experience. Visitors also will have a chance to see the newly reinstalled Boys’ Bed Chamber, made possible through the sponsorship of the Friends of the Owens-Thomas House.

Making Marks Opening Celebration & Reception

Gardener Activation and Conversation with Yashua Klos

Jepson Center

In connection with the exhibition Elegies: Still Lifes in Contemporary Art, Telfair invites audiences to participate in Gardener, a work by artist Yashua Klaus, whose art is also included in the exhibition. The performance in the Jepson Center Atrium is followed by a lecture hosted by Telfair's affinity groups Telfair Contemporaries (TC) and Friends of African American Arts (FAAA).
