GMCS Visit to the Collection of J. Wilson Morris

Wilson Morris is chair of Telfair's Collections Committee and a dedicated supporter of the museum. Gari Melchers Collectors' Society members will visit his home and learn about his personal art collection and interests, ranging from folk art to abstraction and contemporary works.

The Young-Highland House Tour (FOT Members Only)

Join us for an exclusive opportunity to tour a private Greek Revival style home in Savannah! Built in 1854, the house has retained many of its original features, including basement kitchen, outdoor privy, and carriage house and slave quarters. The owners will share some of the objects that have been uncovered through archaeology on the property, as well as their collections of decorative and fine art.

The Georgia Southern University History Department is collaborating with Telfair Museum’s Legacy of Slavery in Savannah Initiative with “The Past, Present, and Future of Voting Rights,” a panel presentation meant to spark a conversation about the history and future of voting rights in Georgia.
