Golding including a 10am private tour of the historic Dorchester Academy & Museum, which was the first school for African Americans in Liberty county, founded by Golding’s father, William A. Golding (Golden). See new exhibits and learn about the history of the school and how the site later became an important meeting place for Martin Luther King, Jr., Andrew Young and other civil rights leaders in the 1960s.

In celebration of the 2021 new acquisitions from the Brandywine Workshop, come explore the exhibition, get inspired, and create your own block print drawn from this collection. Using your personal narrative and experiences in this three-hour workshop, session participants will learn how to create a print from a sketch, plus basic carving techniques, basic hand printing, and using a printing press to create a small edition by guidance with a professional artist and local Savannah printmaker. This class is ideal for beginner, intermediate, or advanced levels. All supplies will be included.
