Friends of African American Arts, or FAAA, is a member group of people across genders, ethnicities, and ages brought together by their appreciation of the artistic and cultural contributions of African Americans. Art can be instrumental in shaping the tone and nature of intercultural relations. FAAA has a diverse membership, which enjoys social and cultural activities that allow participants to expand their personal networks while experiencing the remarkable cultural landscape the Southeast has to offer. By participating in FAAA events, you are adding value to your Telfair Museums experience.

FAAA 2024 Exhibition at Savannah State University

February 15 – March 29 | Savannah State University Fine Arts Gallery

Telfair Museums’ Friends of African American Arts member affinity group is pleased to partner again with Savannah State University. This new exhibition at SSU features work in a variety of media – painting, sculpture, photography, and mixed media – by 40 current FAAA members. An opening reception will be held on February 15 at 5pm. We hope to see you there!

Presented in collaboration with Savannah State University and the Savannah Black Heritage Festival.
