Friends of African American Arts, or FAAA, is a member group of people across genders, ethnicities, and ages brought together by their appreciation of the artistic and cultural contributions of African Americans. Art can be instrumental in shaping the tone and nature of intercultural relations. FAAA has a diverse membership, which enjoys social and cultural activities that allow participants to expand their personal networks while experiencing the remarkable cultural landscape the Southeast has to offer. By participating in FAAA events, you are adding value to your Telfair Museums experience.
FAAA Exhibition at Savannah State University
Opening February 23
Telfair Museums’ Friends of African American Art are pleased to open an exhibition of work by FAAA member artists at Savannah State University’s Kennedy Fine Arts Gallery on February 23. The program will begin with a roundtable discussion by participating artists on February 23 at 3:30pm. The roundtable will be followed by an opening reception in the University’s Kennedy Fine Arts Building which will take place from 5:30-7:30pm and is open to the public.
