#art912: Walking the Horizon

Jepson Center August 31, 2018–April 21, 2019

Telfair Museums presents Walking the Horizon, an exhibition of the late Savannah-based artist Bertha Husband (Scottish, 1948–2017) in tribute to her tremendous legacy in the art world, both in the United States and abroad. Through the combination of narrative imagery and text, Husband made compelling works that always addressed broader issues of political and social concern. Husband traveled extensively, exhibited internationally, and was part of several artist collectives in her ongoing effort to show that art has the power to subvert and liberate.
