Space is limited; pre-registration is required.

Moderated by Telfair Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art Rachel Reese, artists Suzanne Jackson and Alonzo Davis will discuss the intersections of their art practice and careers. Jackson and Davis studied under noted artist and professor Charles White in Los Angeles in the late 1960s, and both started their own Los Angeles galleries (Gallery 32 and Brockman Gallery) supporting black artists of the West Coast. Topics will include their roles as artists in the 1960s-1980s West Coast landscape, including the CETA arts program, and ways their practices continue to intersect 50 years later.
