Join us for a visit to the studio of Friends of African American Arts (FAAA) artist member Malik Jackson. Malik is the son of a Baptist preacher inspired by classic jazz, color, and African art. He was a member of the Watts Writers workshop, which encouraged artistic expression and intellectual growth.  Malik initially bought three brushes and five tubes of acrylic paint. He subsequently studied, honed his craft, and began to exhibit in Los Angeles galleries. In his current work he experiments with natural materials, textures, African images and images from nature. He continues to exhibit and search inside and outside of himself for innovative forms of expression.

Address will be emailed upon registration. This event is open for FAAA Members only. Pre-registration is required; space is limited.
