Like People? Like Art? Become a Docent!
At Telfair Museum’s Jepson Center and Telfair Academy museums, volunteer docents help museum visitors of all ages appreciate and understand art, history and traveling exhibitions. As the primary tour givers for most museum visitors, docents are the museum’s public ambassadors. Becoming a docent serves a greater community and has many rewards on both a personal and a civic level.

In 2025 alone, docents at Telfair Museums helped the museum inspire and impact the lives of over 7,500 PreK – Grade 12 students!

- Minimum 2 tours required per month
