Join us for a lively conversation with Tracy Christensen, the renowned Broadway costume designer, and Savannah’s own David Zyla, Emmy-award winning costume designer and author.
In conversation with David Zyla, Tracy Christensen will discuss her intimate collaboration with Glenn Close as they worked to create the looks for Close’s iconic role.

David Zyla
Emmy® award-winning stylist and best-selling author David Zyla has collaborated with some of the most recognizable faces of contemporary culture, including Neil Patrick Harris, Hillary Clinton, Susan Lucci, Tom Hanks, Carol Burnett, Amber Rose, and Kelsey Grammar. At the age of 22, Zyla started his own Seventh Avenue evening wear label, which was featured at New York’s Fashion Week and sold by luxury retailers, including Bergdorf Goodman and Henri Bendel.
David has held the position of head costume designer for various long-running television shows including ABC’s All My Children (2010 Outstanding Achievement in Costume Design Emmy® Award), and General Hospital, Lifetime’s Devious Maids, and CBS’s The Young and the Restless. He revealed his styling secrets in 2010 with the best-selling book Color Your Style (Plume), followed in 2015 with How to Win at Shopping (Workman).
