Juneteenth Lecture by Russell Patterson: My Career in Baseball

Join us for a special Juneteenth lecture honoring baseball legend Russell “Crazy Legs” Patterson. Patterson grew up in Savannah and played baseball for the Savannah Bears, before moving on to play professionally with the Indianapolis Clowns during the latter days of Negro League baseball. Patterson will discuss his experiences in baseball at home and on the road during the time of segregation and the inspirational role he hopes to serve for today’s young people.
