Join the Friends of the Owens-Thomas House for a little change of scenery as we celebrate this year’s annual Garden Party. Due to ongoing construction in the Oglethorpe Square neighborhood, this year’s party will be held in the Rotunda at the Telfair Academy. This will also give partygoers a sneak peek of the exhibition Roots in the Rushes: African American Basketry of the Lowcountry. Enjoy music by the Brandon Walker Jazz Trio, bubbly beverages, and small bites with the Friends!

The Friends of the Owens-Thomas House are dedicated to initiatives related to decorative arts, architecture, and social history at Telfair Museums. Proceeds from the Garden Party help support the Friends’ annual Margaret Gray Thomas Lecture, preservation efforts at the Owens-Thomas House & Slave Quarters, and collection needs, such as conservation.
