Free to Chatham County Residents!

Explore William Jay’s life, travels, and designs as we celebrate 200 years of Jay architecture in Savannah during this back-to-school Free Family Day. Learn about materials and techniques used in the making of the original Telfair mansion.

Investment is provided by the City of Savannah, the Georgia Power Foundation and St. Joseph’s/Candler.

If you’re a local Chatham County resident or student, admission is waived for you to join in the Free Family fun! All you need to do is show proof of residency or enrollment at the front desk.

 

Here is a list of identification we accept:

  • Georgia driver’s license with Chatham County address and zip code
  • Georgia state identification card with Chatham County address and zip code
  • Voter registration card with Chatham County address and zip code
  • Utility bill with Chatham County address and zip code
  • Current college ID from SCAD, Georgia Southern Armstrong, Savannah State, Georgia Tech, or Savannah Tech
