FAAA Members Trip to IAAM Charleston

Friends of African American Arts (FAAA) Members will travel to Charleson, South Carolina for visits to the new International African American Museum and the Halsey Institute of Contemporary Art. At IAAM participants will explore exhibitions and collections that tell the story of how Africans and African Americans—through their labor, resistance, and ingenuity—have shaped every aspect of our world. In the afternoon the group will reconvene at the College of Charleston’s Halsey Institute to view artist La Vaughn Belle’s exhibition When the Land Meets the Body. FAAA members are receiving a special ticket rate to explore these two important exhibitions.
Please register in advance to attend. Note: Transportation is not provided but carpools are encouraged.
