FAAA Annual Spring Members Meeting

Friends of African American Arts (FAAA) members are invited to meet to elect new officers and hear an exciting lecture by nationally-acclaimed photographer Jason Miccolo Johnson, who will give a short overview of his latest work.
Johnson is an award-winning photojournalist whose images have appeared in 46 books (including five Smithsonian publications), 70 magazines, and three film documentaries. His photographs are in the permanent collections of the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, Saint Louis Art Museum, and Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture. Johnson will also discuss work by students in Telfair’s Youth Lens photography intensive of which he was the distinguished lead instructor. The students’ photographs are on view at the Jepson Center beginning April 27.
