
FAAA Annual Meeting

This meeting will take place in the Jepson Center boardroom.
The FAAA annual meeting will begin with a presentation by noted cultural preservationist Victoria Smalls. Smalls is the former Director of History, Art and Culture and Director of Development and Public Relations for the Penn Center National Landmark District in St. Helena, SC. Following her work at the Penn Center, Smalls was brought on as program manager for the forthcoming International African American Museum (IAAM) in Charleston, SC. Ms. Smalls, who has appeared in television programs for CNN and AMC will discuss her research on Gullah Geechee artists of the low country and the African American arts and cultural scene from Hilton Head to Beaufort and Charleston. After her presentation, FAAA will discuss several important topics for the coming year, including:
