Have you ever wondered about the fantastic benefits of being a Director’s Circle member? Join us in the Richard & Judy Eckburg Atrium for a complimentary cocktail reception with light hors d’œuvres to meet current Director’s Circle members and learn more! Our speaker will be Raissa Bretaña, a New York City-based fashion historian. In her talk, Fashioning Frida, Bretaña will ponder the deliberate clothing choices of the ever-popular artist Frida Kahlo. Looking closely at photographs from Telfair’s collection, along with other images of the artist, Bretaña will discuss how Kahlo is the only artist whose image is more recognized than her artwork. She will delve into the fashion choices the artist made and what they represent.

This event has sold out. The lecture will be recorded and made available to Telfair Museums’ members. If you are interested in joining Director’s Circle and participating in these types of special events, please contact Calli Laundré at 912-790-8807 or laundrec@telfair.org.
