The iconic painting The Black Prince at the Battle of Crécy by Julian Story looms large over the Telfair Academy Rotunda, highlighting but one moment in the extraordinary life of England’s greatest warrior-prince, Edward of Woodstock. This special presentation by military historian Michael Jones centers on research from his award-winning biography The Black Prince: England’s Greatest Medieval Warrior and will forever change your impression of this magnificent painting from Telfair’s permanent collection.
