Telfair Museums invites you to the Jepson Center for the #art912 Summit on August 27. The #art912 Summit will focus on the contemporary art scene in Savannah with a panel discussion hosted by ARC Savannah, a lecture by a multi-disciplinary artist Ed Woodham, and more!

Public Space, Community Engagement, and Temporal Interventions

In this presentation, Art in Odd Places (AiOP) founder/director Ed Woodham gives an overview of his 12-year-old collaborative project that places visual and performance art in public space along the 2.3 miles stretch of 14th Street in Manhattan each October. Art in Odd Places has been produced in Los Angeles, Boston, Indianapolis, Greensboro, and this year in Orlando, plus internationally in Saint Petersburg and Sydney. AiOP was selected as a representative in the U.S. Pavilion, Spontaneous Interventions: Design Actions for the Common Good at the Venice Architecture Biennial in 2012.
