Telfair Ball takes on a grand scale in 2019!

The museum’s most important and exclusive fundraiser is taking a trip from its usual location along Telfair Square this year. On February 23, the 39th Annual Telfair Ball will celebrate the 200th anniversary of the remarkable architecture of our historic buildings and the pioneering legacy of Mary Telfair. Under grand sailcloth tents in Forsyth Park, revelers will enjoy a unique and fanciful evening.

The Telfair Ball is Savannah’s most illustrious annual gala, this year celebrating two centuries of architecture, the Telfair family legacy, William Jay’s magical designs, and Savannah’s enduring allure and mystery. Telfair’s most significant fundraiser, the Ball supports the future of the Telfair Academy, the Owens-Thomas House & Slave Quarters, and the Jepson Center. Proceeds directly fund the museum’s educational outreach, exhibitions, and related activities, bringing the benefits of art to over 190,000 people each year. Tickets are available to Director’s Circle members for $500 each. Together, with the live and silent auction and Fund-A-Need portion of the evening, these contributions allow the museum to build upon its long history of charitable service while helping to create new memories for generations to come.
