Silent Art Auction, Thursday, February 21, 6 pm / Jepson Center
Guests can wander the halls of the Jepson Center and bid on items at the third annual Telfair Silent Art Auction. Featuring artwork from more than 100 phenomenal artists, the auction will be on display both within the halls and online, beginning on February 11 for silent auction bidding. Guests can bid until the night of the event when winners will take home their auction prizes at the end of the night. Tickets $75 per person

Lecture, Friday, February 22, 10 am / Jepson Center
To get in the spirit of the events, on Friday Telfair hosts, From Giotto’s Bell Tower to Brunellischi’s Dome: Florence and the Origins of the Renaissance, a lecture by Giuliana Castellani Koch, in the Jepson Center Neises Auditorium at 10 am. Providing insights both as a scholar of Italian humanities and art, and as a Florentine herself, Castellani Koch traces the Renaissance’s foundations beyond the known examples of artistic and architectural excellence. She summarizes the interplay of civic ambition, the expressions of wealth, intellectual vitality, and religious life which helped form the development of the humanistic spirit. Admission is free for Director’s Circle members or $25 per person. $10 for students. Seating is limited and on a first come, first served basis.
Bella Firenze–the Telfair Ball, Saturday, February 23, 6 pm / Telfair Academy & Jepson Center
On Saturday evening, the Telfair will transport guests to Florence, Italy in continued celebration of the exhibit,Offering of the Angels with Bella Firenze. Festivities begin with the opening of the silent auction and cocktail reception in the Telfair Academy. The fast-paced live auction, hosted again by Hugh Hildesley of Sotheby’s New York, will begin promptly at 7 pm in the rotunda. Guests will enjoy a delicious dinner presented by Lee Epting Events in the Jepson Center, following the live auction. Following dinner, guests will return to the Telfair Academy to enjoy music late into the evening by the Swingin’ Medallions. $350 per person / Director’s Circle members only.
