Harriett DeLong creates a sense of whimsy with her sculptures, juxtaposing figures and improbable situations, and expresses a languid point of view with her drawings. DeLong is an etcher, a drawer, and a watercolorist born and raised in Asheville, North Carolina. A former schoolteacher, she earned her undergraduate degree from Wheaton College and studied at the Pennsylvania
Academy of the Fine Arts. She moved to Savannah with her husband, the artist David DeLong, in the early 1990s. Come and hear about her many perspectives.
