This winter, the museum is pleased to bring back its popular Yoga at the Telfair classes, initiated in summer 2008. Join us on Saturday mornings to practice the art of movement and relaxation in the Jepson Center galleries. Savannah Yoga Center director Kelley Boyd will guide the class through beginner and intermediate yoga positions while incorporating various aspects of the artwork on display.
All are welcome—flexibility of the body is not required. Please bring a yoga mat and towel, and dress appropriately. Arrive promptly at 9:45am.

Telfair's Jepson Center galleries
Saturdays, from September 20-October 25, 10-11:30am,
Classes are 1 ½ hours in duration, and are offered individually or as 6-session packages. $65/members and $75/non-members for packages of six sessions, or $14/person for single classes or drop-ins.

Evening
and Sunday afternoon lectures
Lectures by nationally known artists and scholars are offered
in conjunction with major exhibitions, as well as occasional
symposia and panel discussions. For upcoming lectures at the

Docent
Program
Docents are museum volunteers who give tours and assist with
educational programs for visitors of all ages and backgrounds.
To become a Telfair docent, each candidate must successfully
complete a 17-week training course which includes museum history,
architecture, study of the permanent collections of the museum
and tour techniques. Docents are required to serve a minimum of two years.
