Savannah
Revisited
March 10 - May 14, 2006
A
tribute to the artistic heritage of Savannah, this exhibition presents
works created by local and visiting artists focusing largely on
the magnificent scenery and intriguing inhabitants of the Low Country.
Featured works, ranging in date from the beginning of the 20th century
through its close, will be drawn from the Telfair’s permanent
collection and select private lenders. Presented in the Lewis Gallery
for Southern Art in the Jepson Center, the show includes paintings
by Hattie Saussy, Eliot Cark, Andrée Ruellan, Augusta Oelschig,
and many other works inspired by our city.
