Leigh: Late Works, 2002-2004
Jepson Center
for the Arts I Through August 27, 2006
In the
Levitt Gallery at the Jepson Center, the Telfair will present a
series of late works by Georgia photographer Jack Leigh. Admired
as one of Savannah's most sensitive and poetic image-makers, Leigh
produced imagery that was inextricably bound to the land and residents
of the Low Country. One of the last projects Leigh completed before
his untimely death was a series of works examining the emerging
Jepson Center for the Arts. These striking photographs will be displayed
in tandem with images shot on Ossabaw Island and other works from
the artist's late career.
