Christopher
Rauschenberg
March 10 - June 4, 2006
Christopher
Rauschenberg is a preeminent Oregon photographer and the son of
Robert Rauschenberg. The photographs on view in the Telfair’s
exhibition of his work were created primarily in Europe and South
America, and reflect the artist’s signature technique of shooting
a scene sequentially and mounting the resulting prints in a disjunctive
line, recalling his father’s collage-based technique.
Christopher
Rauschenberg established the first gallery devoted to photography
in Portland, and has had over 55 one-person shows in Europe, South
America, and the United States.
