Creative Savannah a curated community exhibit at Telfair Museums’ Jepson Center.
One of the exciting things about current DIY maker trends is that these projects put creativity first and seems to build exponentially as individuals set out not just to undertake new creative ideas, but to solve everyday issues through creative tinkering.
Telfair Museums would like to feature the creativity of Savannah with a community exhibit of creative tinkering and hacker projects. Hacker maker Artist operate as culture hackers who manipulate existing technologies, object and craft traditions toward a new and different end in order to get inside cultural systems and make them do things they were never intended to do. We are calling for submission of maker projects that demonstrate a unique ingenious approach to solving low or high-tech problems take a brand new approach to older craft traditions. This highly selective show is intended to survey the various ways that savannah community has come to embrace this artistic and cultural trend.
