First Saturdays for Kids
Mexican Paper Cut-Outs
Telfair's Jepson Center for the Arts
This monthly program for young people includes studio art workshops (now drop in, until capacity) for ages 3-9, storytelling, and activities for young children in ArtZeum, and classic family films in the Neises Auditorium.
Studio activity: Paper cut-outs, based on the exhibition Frida Kahlo: Through the Lens of Nickolas Muray
Stop by anytime between 10am-1pm to join in on the fun!
Free Admission for First Saturday participants (parents or guardians with children), sponsored by the Byck-Rothschild foundation and other generous donors.

Telfair's Jepson Center for the Arts

The Savannah Film Commission presents CinDigenous, a viewing of locally produced short films followed by a Q & A session with the film makers.
Titles include: And Then She Was Gone, starring native and Oscar Nominee Diana Scarvid; The Madness of Being, an international award- winning stop motion animation film by Hal Miles; The Street Cleaner, an award-winning short film by Permpombellar Productions.
Admission is free and open to the public.

Enjoy a fun evening of food, drinks, and music in a uniquely artistic setting. All galleries will be open.  Don’t miss Picturing Savannah: The Art of Christopher A. D. Murphy, Frida Kahlo: Through the Lens of Nickolas Muray, and Elemental: Paintings by Luther Vann.  Bring your friends!  Music procurement under the direction of Rob Gibson, Director of Savannah Music Festival. 
Admission is FREE to museum members and $10 for the general public (cost of food and drink not included).

In conjunction with the exhibition Passing Time, the Telfair Academy Guild proudly presents a lecture by William Christenberry, the first in a new series of exhibition-related talks by and about distinguished living artists. Reception to follow. Admission is free, but lecture and reception are open to Telfair members only. To become a member, call 790.8866. It pays to join! Toddler Third Thursday
The Beautiful Mexican Culture: Based on the exhibition,
Frida Kahlo: Through the Lens of Nickolas Muray
Telfair's Jepson Center for the Arts
This program is designed especially for preschoolers ages 3-5 and their adult companions. Your toddler will explore artwork from both our permanent and temporary exhibitions followed by a visit to the new Jepson Education Studios for a fun-filled art project relating to their tour. Colors, shapes, and material vocabulary will be encouraged. Each month will involve a different tour and project. Time to play in ArtZeum is included. Bring the masterpieces home and see your child smile with creative pride!
Registration and adult supervision required.

Telfair's Jepson Center for the Arts
At the Telfair’s 2008 Annual Meeting, director Steven High will preview the year to come.The evening’s agenda also features a short program highlighting the work of young artists –including animated films made by high school students at the Jepson Center, presentation of the 2008 Hollowbush Award for outstanding volunteer service, and election of new board members. A reception will follow. Free admission for members.

Jepson Gospel Brunch
Telfair's Jepson Center for the Arts
Join us for brunch at the Jepson Center and enjoy the musical talents of St. John Baptist Church Gospel Choir. Ticket price of $10 for non-members (children under 6 are free and 6-12 years are half price) includes access to fabulous exhibitions in the Jepson’s galleries and the live gospel performance.  A specially priced brunch of $15 will be served from 12:30 – 2:30 p.m. in the Eckburg Atrium (children under 6 are free and 6-12 years are half price). Music performance at 1:30 p.m.  Sponsors: HIS Radio 91.9 FM, Magic 103.9, and Savor Savannah.

An Evening with Luther Vann and Friends
Telfair's Jepson Center for the Arts
This special program will celebrate the work of noted local artist Luther Vann and the exhibition Elemental in spoken word, video, and music. The program will include an introduction to the artist’s work by Dr. Ja Jahannes, a short video, comments by Luther Vann, a performance by musician and composer Travis Biggs, and a book-signing.  Free with admission and to museum members.
